How to go for what you want, while allowing what’s meant to be, be.

You can still believe that what’s meant to be will be, while being a mover and shaker. You can still allow what’s aligned for you to happen, while being the one to show up and see if it is. I made peace with the fact that having something that I love to do is in alignment enough; It’s enough to go out and not make it happen, but show up so that it can happen. I like to kick the door open.

Put what you want out there.

Start the conversation. If you sit and wait for what you want to come to you, not saying it won’t happen, you might be waiting for a while. If something lights up your soul, get curious about it. There’s a difference between being open to what’s meant to be and trying to control it. When you’re open, you’re moving forward while letting go. You’re making an effort to show up for your dream, while remaining open to the path that it needs to come about.

When you’re trying to control something, you can feel it in your body, I always feel it in my stomach. You’ve opened up a dialogue and have begun to go for what you want. Long after that feeling of, “this isn’t going to happen” has passed, your mind is strategizing all of the ways on how you can grip on and make it work. You try to control because you believe that there is only one way for your dream to come about. Stay open by letting go of the specifics on how your dream needs to show up. It’s not about gaining something or working for something, it’s about letting go; letting go of all the things that are keeping you from feeling free and allowing your dream to happen.

Stay open by letting the universe know what you want. Whether that’s an admissions counselor, a potential boss, a love interest, a publisher… etc., when you open up the dialogue and remain open, that’s when you can pair effort with allowing what’s meant to be, be.

Things show up when you’re putting forward the energy that it’s going to happen.

The things that show up that seem like magic, or luck, do so because of the energy that you’re putting into it. If you’re sitting and waiting for the perfect scenario to happen and that’s the only means that you believe it will go forward, show up for yourself and your vision in a different way.

Throw your ideas out there.

Pitch the dream.

Express your truth.

The things that fall into your lap might seem like luck, but it’s you. It’s your energy. It’s your drive and your love for what you’re doing.

Momentum loves momentum.

If you don’t know where to start or who to get in touch with, just start doing what you love. When you’re doing things because you genuinely love doing them, you get in the flow; these are the things that you’re doing where you’re so in the midst of them, that when you look up you forget that you were doing something at all. These are things you do where you are living from a place of total enjoyment.

If you don’t feel that you have enough time to put effort towards something that you would love to happen, work on it a little each day. The incredible thing about being in the flow is that time isn’t a big deal. You could be putting that energy towards something that you would love to happen for a short amount of time and things can fall into place. It’s not the amount of time that you put in, but the energy that you put in during that time.
